đž Exotics & BioExotics
âThereâs nothing you canât become.â

Exotics are people who have modified their bodies to look non-human â cat ears, wolf muzzles, reptilian skin, dragon wings, elf ears, and everything in between. The cheapest route is Exotic Bodysculpting (cosmetic only), but the real deal is a BioExoticsÂŽ package from Biotechnica â a month-long program that combines surgery, cyberware, drugs, and therapy into a single transformative experience.
For individual package details, see the Exotics catalog in the Database. For cyberware installation rules, see Cyberware. For Humanity rules, see Humanity.

đď¸ The Zoo: How It Works
Biotechnicaâs BioExoticsÂŽ Camp (âThe Zooâ) is a month-long intensive program in Southern Washington. The marketing focuses on amenities â ice cream, massages, ropes courses â but the real magic is a combination of:
- Innovative drug cocktails and revolutionary surgery
- Full cyberware installation for your chosen package
- Therapy that significantly reduces Humanity Loss
- A mysterious 3-day memory gap that every participant reports
Hard to Get
Demand massively exceeds supply. Getting a slot requires either friends in high places or a Fixer at the right rank. Street ripperdocs try to replicate the process, but without Biotechnicaâs unknown therapy technique, MAX-TAC tends to get called real quick.
Rules for Buying a Package
- Choose your package â cost is independent of its price category (listed for Fixer availability)
- At character creation: You may pool the 1,500eb from âselling your soulsâ with other non-fashion money to afford a package
- Total HL is the listed amount (already reduced by Zoo therapy) â not the sum of individual pieces
- All cyberware in the package is installed during the stay
What If You Already Have Some Chrome?
- Biotechnica wonât install duplicates unless the effects stack
- They will rip out existing cyberware to make room â ensure you have enough option slots
- Reduce the package HL by 2 for each piece of cyberware already installed (or by 4 for each Borgware piece)
What If You Leave Early?
Don't Leave Early
If you donât complete the full month, you do not get the therapy HL discount. Instead, you must roll HL for the Exotic Bodysculpting and each piece of cyberware individually, as if installed simultaneously.
đ¨ Exotic Bodysculpting
Exotic Bodysculpting covers all the cosmetic changes needed to look like your chosen form â whiskers, muzzles, manes, reptilian skin, fur, cosmetic tails, hooves, antennae, cosmetic claws, fins, and paws. Cosmetic fat and muscle can alter your build.
- Cost: 100eb (Fashionware â Mall install, 0 HL)
- This gives you the look but none of the substance
- To duplicate actual senses, weapons, and natural abilities, you need the cyberware in a full package
Style vs. Substance
Bodysculpting alone is safe and cheap. A full BioExoticsÂŽ package gives you functional chrome underneath the look. Youâll be the animal, not just look like one.

đ Exotics in Night City
Exotics have been part of Night Cityâs culture since the 2020s. In the Time of the Red:
- Acceptance is growing â younger generations are far more open to Exotics than previous ones
- Posergangs often adopt specific Exotic looks as their identity
- Nomad packs have been rumored to go full-animal (thereâs allegedly a bunny pack out there)
- NeuHumans are popular among bodyguards and corporate security â all the combat chrome, none of the obvious animal look
- FantaForms are the newest trend, driven by Elflines Online and fantasy culture
Street Alternative
Canât get a Zoo slot? Street ripperdocs will try to do it their own way â but they canât offer Biotechnicaâs therapy discounts on HL, and the results can be⌠unpredictable. If things go wrong, expect MAX-TAC.
â Quick Answers
Is Exotic Bodysculpting the same as a BioExoticsÂŽ package?
No. Bodysculpting (100eb, Fashionware) is cosmetic only â fur, ears, tails that look real but have no function. A BioExoticsÂŽ package (2,100eb+) includes functional cyberware underneath the look.
Can I mix chrome from different packages?
Not at The Zoo. You buy one package. Outside The Zoo, a ripperdoc can install any individual cyberware, but you wonât get the therapy-reduced HL.
How much Humanity do I really lose?
Only the listed amount â Zoo therapy absorbs the rest. For comparison, installing KatNipâs chrome individually would cost ~40+ HL. At The Zoo, itâs 18.
Do I have to pay Lifestyle while at The Zoo?
No â itâs included in the package cost. But you might want to keep paying for housing, or come home to find your stuff stolen.
What's the strongest Exotic package?
UrsaFormÂŽ (8,200eb, HL 52) â includes a Linear Frame Sigma, Wolvers, Pain Editor, and more. The Draconic FantaForm⢠(11,000eb, HL 34) has a Linear Frame Beta and a Firebreather.
Can a Full Body Conversion be an Exotic?
Sort of â an FBC body can be sculpted to look exotic with coverings and faceplates, but you canât install Exotic Bodysculpting on a metal body. The BioExoticsÂŽ program requires a meat body.
