Rogue Amendiares is the owner and operator of The Afterlife and arguably the most powerful Fixer in Night City. A living legend from the 2020s, she survived the corporate wars, the nuke, and the Time of the Red. Once known as the Queen of the Solos, she now serves as the gatekeeper of Night City’s elite mercenary community — brokering the most dangerous and lucrative contracts in the city.

📜 Background

The Solo Years (2010s–2023)

Rogue was one of the best Solos of the second generation, known for running with top-tier operators like Santiago Aldecaldo (Nomad leader and her professional partner), Morgan Blackhand, and Johnny Silverhand. She and Santiago were the best hit team and bodyguard duo in the business — she was lightning reflexes and silenced Automags, he was raw muscle and controlled aggression.

Her relationship with Johnny Silverhand was complicated. Even decades later, she never quite decided whether she wanted him or just wanted to kill him. Johnny knew her real first name — Rache — and she forbade him from ever using it again.

In 2013, she was part of the Arasaka riot alongside Santiago and Silverhand. Ten years later, she was on the team that assaulted Arasaka Tower — the event that ended with the nuclear detonation that killed half a million people and turned the sky red.

Transition to Fixer (2020s–2030s)

After the Night City holocaust, Rogue tried to keep going as a Solo. But a devastating car crash eventually ended that career — the internal damage was so severe that even cyberware couldn’t fix it all. She parlayed her Solo reputation into a new career as a Fixer and took over The Afterlife, transforming it from a morgue into the premiere mercenary bar in Night City.

In 2028, she tapped the Willows — a survivor support group based at The Forlorn Hope — to rescue young Trace Santiago (Santiago’s son) after Kiroshi kidnapped the boy to use as a bargaining chip against the Aldecaldo clan. The retrieval was clean, and the message sent was loud: Trace was under their protection.

The Queen of the Fixers (2040s–Present)

By the 2040s, Rogue had firmly established herself as the most connected Fixer in Night City. She holds court in the Afterlife, assembling elite teams for wealthy clients. Unproven edgerunners don’t get through the door — she meets new talent at The Forlorn Hope instead, where as a former Queen of the Solos, it makes sense she’d vet up-and-comers on Solo turf.

She still keeps tabs on old debts and old friends. She’s protective of Trace Santiago, keeps an eye on the general pulse of Night City’s merc community, and — according to those who’ve seen her on the arcade machines — she’s an absolute beast at Roach Race.

👤 Personality

Rogue is all business. She has a rough, somewhat deep voice that sounds like a late-night DJ who’s smoked too many cigarettes. Sharp gray eyes appraise every person who walks into her domain. She’s known to be impatient — don’t waste her time.

She doesn’t do “friends” anymore — she does business. She respects competence and loyalty, and has zero tolerance for screw-ups. If Rogue gives you a gig, you’ve made it to the big leagues. If you cross her, your career (and likely your life) is over.

Despite the cold exterior, she’ll front funds and bail out crews that get into trouble — on her terms. She enforces a certain code: hard but fair.

🔧 Known Cyberware

Rogue is packed with chrome from her Solo days — neuralware, cyberoptics, and boosted reflexes. In her prime, her chipped reflexes could kick into overdrive fast enough to kill a man with bare knuckles and fire a silenced Automag under a table before the body hit the floor.
