🏯 Japantown

Benefiting from its position as a nexus point for the city’s northern districts, it serves as the premiere entertainment center for Night City. 📜 History
The Night Vision (Pre-War)
Richard Night designed Japantown as an “exciting Japanese cultural center and link to the Pacific Rim.” Unlike other districts where corporate efficiency dominated, Japantown was meant to capture authentic cultural atmosphere. The Asian districts—Little China and Japantown—were distinctly different from each other, reflecting the individual cultural styles of each area.
Original Design
Night planned Japantown alongside “a smattering of other Southeast Asian locales” in the Eastpark area adjacent to the main district, creating a Pacific Rim cultural corridor.
Post-War Migration
Japantown survived the 4th Corporate War better than Old Japantown—the ruined district across the city where many Japanese residents originally lived. When Old Japantown collapsed into Combat Zone chaos, refugees flooded into this western Japantown, bringing:
- Their community networks and cultural traditions
- Money from the Night City Co-Prosperity Sphere
- Connections that would become Tyger Claws infrastructure
The result: a district that actually improved during the Time of the Red while others crumbled.
🌸 The District

Respect the Territory
The Tyger Claws don’t tolerate disrespect in Japantown. Starting trouble here brings swift, organized retaliation. Violence is rare—bad for business—but brutal when it happens.

Never lie to her. She probably already knows the truth. Be direct, professional, and deliver what you promise. She remembers favors—and grudges.
