📝 Description
Subdermal armor consists of armored plates surgically implanted beneath the skin, providing significant protection without the bulk of external armor. The plates flex with the body’s natural movement, making them virtually undetectable under clothing.
This is the choice of bodyguards, executives, and anyone who needs to look unarmored while being anything but.
Special Rules
Permanent Protection
- Provides SP 11 to Body and Head hit locations
- Cannot be removed by enemies
- Always active, no activation required
Stacking Rules
- Can wear external armor over subdermal
- Maximum combined SP: 18
- External armor ablates first
Regeneration
- Ablated SP regenerates: 1 SP per day of rest
- Can be repaired at a Clinic (100eb per SP)
Concealment
- Invisible under clothing
- Only detectable by: X-ray, cyberware scanner, or Techie inspection
Drawbacks
- Medical Complications: Surgery and future cyberware installs +2 DV
- Heavy: -1 to swimming and similar checks
- MRI Hazard: Cannot undergo MRI procedures safely
