🚀 Orbital Air
“The sky is not the limit.”
Orbital Air is the world’s leading provider of air and orbital transport. The corporation that won the very first Corporate War, OA leveraged its dominance of Low Earth Orbit into a transportation empire. Now they’re building a massdriver on Night City’s Morro Rock to launch spacecraft directly into LEO.

📜 History
The 1st Corporate War (2004–2006)
Orbital Air fought EBM (Euro Business Machines) over the acquisition of TWA. OA used its orbital position as a military advantage, blockading EBM from Low Earth Orbit. OA commandos captured EBM CEO Ulf Grunwalder, forcing surrender. This was the first direct corporate war in history — and OA won it.
Golden Age
Leveraged LEO dominance into a global transportation monopoly. Provided luxury flights to the Crystal Palace orbital station. Became the primary carrier for goods, personnel, and information between Earth and space.
Post-War (2045)
Now constructing a revolutionary massdriver on Morro Rock in Night City to launch space planes directly into orbit — potentially the most significant infrastructure project in the city.
🏢 Operations
Orbital Transport
- Commercial shuttle services between Earth and orbital stations
- Cargo transport to and from LEO
- Luxury passenger flights (pre-war; status uncertain post-war)
- Controls critical trade routes between Earth and Highrider communities
Cultural Impact
- Highrider traffic through OA supports entertainment industries and economies worldwide
- Children of OA executives bring West African pop culture to Night City
- OA logistics support Addiswood (Ethiopian film industry) distribution
🏰 Night City Presence
Orbital Air Massdriver — Morro Rock
A tremendous construction site building the first orbital massdriver in Night City. Geological engineers flown out from Kenya have halted construction, citing concerns about the stability of the area’s bedrock. Whether this is a genuine safety issue or corporate sabotage remains unclear.
Orbital Air Housing Block #3 — Morro Rock
A Cube Hotel housing the engineers and workers assigned to the massdriver project.
👤 Key People
Franklin M’bolu
Developer of many OA technologies and currently in charge of building the Night City massdriver. Rumored to supplement his income by dealing OA technology and information on the black market.

Adventure Hooks
- Steal prototype massdriver tech from the Morro Rock construction site
- Investigate the geological “concerns” — is someone sabotaging the project?
- Franklin M’bolu is selling OA tech on the black market. Buy from him, steal from him, or protect him from OA security closing in
- Smuggle cargo past OA orbital blockade for a rival corp
- An OA shuttle has crashed in the Badlands carrying classified Highrider technology
